Call for Submissions


 
The African Society is increasingly becoming networked with informationtechnology (IT); and this is producing patterns and dynamics in technology,innovation, modernization and development. The African Networked Society (ANS)speaks of IT networks intermeshing with the African society of individuals,organizations and nations. The ANS is generating tensions between local,national and transnational flows of people, information and policies. Itrepresents a new platform that enables researchers and practitioners to takenew perspectives to pertinent technological, organizational, and developmentalissues in Africa.

ANS enables more efficient and effective creation and distribution ofdigital content, applications and services across Africa that will benefit the people of Africa greatly. Therefore, it can be exploited byindividuals, organizations, and individuals to accelerate the flow and exchangeof ideas, policies, and cultures to achieve socio-economic advancement ofAfrica. 

The 2017 edition of ACIST aims to facilitate the achievement andexploitation of the ANS through continuous IT innovation and deployment inAfrica. The conference brings together researchers, practitioners, andeducators in Information Systems and Technology to present research anddevelopment works and share ideas that enhance innovation and application of ITin Africa.

ACIST 2017 is calling for completed papers, research-in-progress papersor posters, position papers, panel discussion topics, and exhibition posters ontopics that include, but are not limited to, the following:

Paper submissions will be subjected to double-blind reviews by at leasttwo Programme Committee members. Accepted papers will be published in theconference proceedings with ISSN 2467-8988; and will be considered forfurther review and publication in the African Journal of InformationSystems (www.ajisonline.com).
