*We are pleased to invite the academic and business community to submit 
their papers to CISTI'2017 (12th Iberian Conference on Information 
Systems and Technologies), to be held at ISCTE-IUL in Lisbon, Portugal, 
between the 21st and 24th of June 2017.*

**

*Authors are encouraged to submit original scientific contributions such 
as state-of-art reviews and new research perspectives, ground-breaking 
ideas and/or architectures, solutions and/or applications for real 
problems, empirical and/or evaluation works, case studies, etc., in 
conformity with the themes of this Conference.*

**

*Papers accepted and published in CISTI'2017, depending on its type, 
will be available in the **IEEE Xplore **Digital Library and will be 
sent for indexing in **ISI, Scopus**, EI, INSPEC and Google Scholar. 
Papers must comply with the format standard

**Portuguese**, **Spanish **or **English**.*

*Miklos A. Vasarhelyi*

	

Miklos A. Vasarhelyi [Ph.D in MIS (UCLA) MBA (MIT) and BS in Economics 
and Electrical Engineering (the State University of Guanabara and 
Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro)]. Professor Vasarhelyi is 
currently the KPMG Distinguished Professor of Accounting Information 
Systems and Director of the Rutgers Accounting Research Center (RARC) & 
Continuous Auditing and Reporting Laboratory (CARLAB) at Rutgers 
University. He has published more than 200 journal articles, 20 books, 
and directed over 30 PhD theses. He is the editor of the Artificial 
Intelligence in Accounting and Auditing series and the Journal of 
Emerging Technologies in Accounting. Professor Vasarhelyi has taught 
executive programs on electronic commerce to many large international 
organizations including GE, J&J, Eli Lilly, Baxter, ADL, Volvo, Siemens, 
Chase Bank, and AT&T. Professor Vasarhelyi is credited with the original 
continuous audit application and as the leading researcher in this 
field. The CAR Lab’s projects include among others Siemens, KPMG, P&G, 
AICPA, CA Technologies, and Itau-Unibanco. Prof. Vasarhelyi has been 
awarded the Outstanding Educator of the year by the AAA in 2014 and the 
Wasserman award by ISACA in 2013.

*Sunder Gee*

**

	

Sunder Gee is a CPA, CMA, CIDA who retired from the Canada Revenue 
Agency (CRA). Prior to his retirement, he held the position of 
Electronic Commerce Audit Advisor for the Head Office. In that position, 
he provided consultation on electronic commerce issues and 
computer-assisted audit techniques, both within the Agency as well as to 
other tax authorities worldwide.

Sunder has developed extensive training material on a wide variety of 
topics for the CRA, CaseWare IDEA Inc., and local colleges. He consults 
for tax lawyers and tax accountants predominantly in the area of 
electronic data and is providing data services to RTA Corporation 
through the use of continuous monitoring. He is also teaching a Forensic 
Accounting and Financial Data Analytics course that he developed for a 
local College.

Sunder is the author of "Fraud and Fraud Detection: A Data Analytics 
Approach" which outlines various types of fraud and explains step by 
step detection using the IDEA data analytics software.
