The University is situated in Christchurch, which is the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand. It is a city with excellent facilities and a relaxed lifestyle. Christchurch is near the sea and the Southern Alps, where some of New Zealand's finest ski-fields are found. The quality of life is high, and at a reasonable cost.
Christchurch has a growing economy, with considerable strength in the IT sector.
