Middle Georgia State University, one of the institutions in the University System of Georgia, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Information Technology at its Macon campus.

Macon is located in the center of the state, approximately 75 miles south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.  The area has numerous cultural events and recreational facilities available. To learn more about the University and the area, see www.mga.edu.


Qualifications: Candidates must have a doctorate in IT or related disciplines with at least 18+ hours of graduate course work in the field of IT as well as a reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor. The primary teaching responsibility will be in the areas of Cybersecurity  or Software Development/Software Engineering both in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Online teaching experience is required. In addition to teaching, job requirements include service to the institution; and an active research and scholarly activities leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals.
