51th Annual Hawai'i International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS-51)

January 3-6, 2018 (Wednesday-Saturday)

The Big Data on Healthcare Minitrack of the conference aims at providing an international and interdisciplinary forum that is dedicated to exploring the Big Data application in healthcare.
Topics of Interest
We invite research papers presenting the original ideas focused on public health or global health. Potential topics include but are not limited to:

·                                                                     Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Application on Healthcare
·                                                                     Telemedicine for Patient Management
·                                                                     Impact of Environmental and Climate Changes for Health
·                                                                     Big-Data Architecture and Cloud Computing for Health Systems
·                                                                     Data Capturing Techniques on Personal Health Records
·                                                                     Image Processing and Voice Recognition for Data Extraction
·                                                                     Data Analytics on Worldwide and Open Source Health Data
·                                                                     Data Simulation for Scenario Modeling on Health System
·                                                                     Feature Selection in Genomic Data



Paper Submission Deadline

June 15, 2017, 11:59 PM HST

Opportunities for Publication:

1. Proceedings will be published through the HICSS-51 conference proceedings: Papers submitted could be accepted as REGULAR papers (8 to 10 pages) or SHORT papers (4 to 6 pages), depending on the review scores.

2. Fast Track to a Special Issue in the Health Information Science and Systems: High-quality conference papers that are computer science/information technology oriented will be invited for submission to Health Information Science and Systems.

3. Fast Track to British Medical Journal (BMJ) Innovations: High-quality conference papers that are medical innovation/application oriented will be invited for submission to BMJ Innovations.

Extended versions of selected papers will be invited for submission in (i) a special issue in the Health Information Science and Systems with focus on technical advancement; or/and (ii) a general publication in BMJ Innovations with focus on clinical application. A single project is possible to be published on both journals under our editorial advices.
