Assistant Lecturer in Computing (Data Analytics)
Saudi Arabia

Introduction
Dublin City University in Ireland has partnered with a state of the art 
local University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to deliver a number of 3rd 
level degree programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly 
motivated and qualified candidate to work with two highly prestigious 
institutions.

This role initially starts as a 2 year long contract with potential for 
longer term commitments. For this position, in line with a genuine 
occupational requirement, we are looking to recruit only female staff 
members for a female only university.


The Role

The Appointee will be expected to contribute directly to the proposed 
degree programme, supervision of laboratory sessions, student mentoring 
and supervision of capstones projects / dissertations. Specific 
responsibilities include:
•Deliver laboratory, tutorial and occasional lecture elements
•Develop resources required to facilitate student learning
•Support the lecturing in setting and assessing exams and continuous 
assessments
•Develop modules in a manner consistent with DCU academic standards
•Use a wide range of learning and teaching methodologies and assessments 
which foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students
•Work proactively in improving existing courses and programmes
•Contribute to the design and development of new courses and programmes
•Contribute to team effectiveness, leadership/management and administration.
•Represent the Universities externally as appropriate

interest/expertise at postgraduate level in the following subject areas: 
Data Analytics / Data Science; Data Visualization; Data Mining; Machine 
Learning; Statistics/Mathematics; Computational Modelling; Databases; 
Data warehouses; Cloud Computing; and Research Methods.


Job Requirements

•Must hold an honours degree in a relevant discipline, qualified to a 
post-graduate level with a Masters or is a PhD scholar with a specialism 
in Computing
•A minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience, ideally experienced 
in international teaching
