[AISWorld] Open position: Secretary of the Region 2 board

Recently, the European Conference for Information Systems (ECIS) became the Region 2 Conference of the AIS, after being an affiliated conference for many years (see also announcement:  https://aisnet.org/news/news.asp?id=334030).

The main governing body of ECIS is the Standing Committee  but as a result of the agreement with AIS it is currently transitioning into a Region 2 board. In this process we are looking for a new secretary of the board who is responsible for preparing and chairing board meetings. It is a non-paid position and the term of service is three years after which new elections are held.
If you are interested in this position you can apply until May 31, 2017. For the position we are looking for an enthusiastic person who is dedicated to continue the success of recent ECIS conferences. Furthermore, the person should have experience in chairing meetings, have good communication skills and be able to deal with political situations. Since it is the Region 2 board, the secretary should be affiliated with an university in Region 2 and the person should be an AIS member. Last but not least, the person should be familiar with the ECIS conference and AIS.

This e-mail should contain a short paragraph on why the candidate applies for the position (max. 250 words) and a one paragraph CV (max. 250 words). Deadline for sending the e-mail May 31, 2017. After this date the current Region 2 board will select a secretary at its board meeting during ECIS 2017 in Guimarães, Portugal. The position Secretary of the Region 2 Board is effective immediately after the election at the board meeting (upon acceptance of the candidate).
