CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS AND SPONSORS

2017 Conference on CYBERSECURITY EDUCATION, RESEARCH & PRACTICE
Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw GA October 20-21, 2017 (Fri & Sat)

INDUSTRY AND RESEARCH EVENT

Hosted by the Center for Information Security Education,
Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University

FRIDAY, October 20, 2017 – INDUSTRY and ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIP DAY
On Friday, CCERP will host an industry security day, with invited presentations from industry executives in the region making presentation on information security issues of concern to both industry and academic professionals.
Organizations interested in setting up display tables are invited to sponsor the event. Details may be viewed at http://infosec.kennesaw.edu/CCERP, then select Exhibitors from the menu. Please email us at infosec at kennesaw.edu for additional information or to propose a speaker. Presentations will not highlight an individual product or company and must be suitably vendor agnostic.

SATURDAY, October 21, 2017 – MAIN ACADEMIC CONFERENCE DAY
The main academic conference day is Saturday, however, we will back fill into Friday afternoon as needed. KSU still has funding remaining from our 2016 NSF Grant and would like to again conduct a graduate research workshop in association with the conference. Our intent is to host student/mentor sessions early Friday afternoon, with presentations afterwards on Saturday (main conference day). The workshop will fund ten (10) $1000 stipends and significantly reduced registration for selected attendees, based on a competitive review of submitted research papers. While other graduate students may self-select to participate in the workshop, only the top ten will receive stipends. Students who have participated in a previous workshop are not eligible for stipends.

The Conference on Cybersecurity Education Research and Practice (CCERP) seeks to provide academics, researchers, and practitioners with an opportunity to share their perspectives on the various aspects of innovation in security research, industry best practices and pedagogical developments of interest with teaching and researching faculty members. Papers offering novel research contributions in any aspect of information security are solicited for submission to the 2017 CCERP Conference. The primary focus is on high-quality, original, unpublished research, case studies and implementation experiences.

For authors interested in submitting papers: Papers should have relevance to the teaching, research and/or practice of information security/cybersecurity. The primary criteria for appropriateness are demonstrated practical relevance and topics of interest to academic researchers and instructors. Note that work in progress papers can be accepted if substantial progress has already been made and completion is expected by the conference date. The top papers accepted to the conference will be invited to publish their papers to the Journal for Cybersecurity Education, Research and Practice with minimal additional review.

Every paper author who submits will be expected to serve as a reviewer for other, non-conflicted submissions. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference by September 15 for the paper to be included in the proceedings and in JCERP, a Digital Commons @ KSU publication. If you have any questions or comments about submissions or requirements please direct them to infosec at kennesaw.edu, or visit the conference submission web site at http://digitalcommons.kennesaw.edu/ccerp . The conference web site (infosec.kennesaw.edu/CCERP) is still under development. Ask to be added to the email list for information as to its availability

Authors may submit up to 3 papers; however, no more than 2 papers from any one author will be accepted.
