The University of Arizona is recruiting for three faculty positions at the assistant/associate professor rank for the 2018/2019 academic year.

Position Title
Assistant Professor/Associate Professor (Tenure Track)

Position Summary
The three positions are to support our research and education missions in MIS, Cybersecurity, and Healthcare.

The successful candidate for the MIS position will have a research program that is aligned with the department's goals and aimed at publishing in high-quality outlets. The appointee will be expected to teach in our undergraduate, graduate, and/or online programs.

The successful candidate for the healthcare position will have a research focus in the broad area of digital health and be expected to teach graduate courses in health information technology, in addition to other courses in the department.

The successful candidate for the cybersecurity position will have a research focus in cybersecurity and be expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, both on campus and online, in cybersecurity. The appointee is expected to mentor cybersecurity students and collaborate with other units on campus on high-impact cybersecurity research and education activities.

The Management Information Systems (MIS) Department is one of the six departments in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. Founded in 1974, the department was a pioneer in defining and advancing the field of Information Systems. Since its inception, the MIS Department has made outstanding contributions to the field, both by creating relevant and impactful research and by offering leading edge educational programs. The department has well-established and highly successful research centers that have generated over $85M in funded research projects since the 1980's. MIS faculty have also been successful with tech transfer initiatives through successful commercialization of their research. The department is generally widely considered a top 5 department in the field of information systems.

The MIS Department offers undergraduate, masters, and PhD programs in MIS. Over 5,000 students, including 230 PhD students, have graduated from these programs. The programs are typically ranked at the top in the MIS field. US News & World Report currently ranks the undergraduate program #3 and the MS program #4 among all universities. Duties and Responsibilities
The MIS Department is seeking colleagues who will actively contribute to the intellectual environment in our department through research, teaching, and service.

Minimum Qualifications
* Hold a PhD in Management Information Systems or related field.
* Demonstrated ability to publish in respected per-reviewed academic journals.
* Evidence of high quality teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
* Evidence of strong research skills and commitment to quality education.
In addition, applicants for an associate level position are required to show:
* An active research agenda and a record of research excellence as evidenced by publications in top academic journals
* A demonstrated excellent teaching record at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
* Experience with online programs, MBA, executive education programs, and/or doctoral education.
* For the cybersecurity position: Demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with outstanding research and teaching capabilities that align well with the MIS department's various areas of research and teaching.

Interviews: Applications will be reviewed beginning August 28th, until the position is filled. Interviews will be conducted via skype, at CIST, and possibly at ICIS.
