Clemson University <http://www.clemson.edu> invites applications for two
Ph.D. student positions in Management Information Systems (MIS) to begin
coursework in Fall, 2018.  National and international students that are
innovative, tenacious and cogent desiring the potential to publish in top
journals on behavioral and analytical subjects in IS are encouraged to
apply.


*Management Information Systems at Clemson University*

The Clemson MIS group is comprised of research-oriented faculty that
actively participate in the MIS research community, holding editorial
positions at major MIS journals, program chairs and associate editors at
conferences, and active in the peer review process at top MIS journals.  In
recent years, faculty have published papers in leading MIS journals such as
*MISQ*, *ISR*, *JMIS*, *JAIS,* *EJIS, JSIS, and JIT* as well as leading
referent journals such as *Management Science*, *IEEE TEM*, *Journal of
Management Studies, and* *Journal of Applied Psychology*, among others.



The MIS Faculty include Jason Thatcher (Professor), Heshan Sun (Associate
Professor), Russ Purvis (Associate Professor), Seth Li (Assistant
Professor) and Marten Risius (Assistant Professor).  In addition, the MIS
academic group is in the process of filling the William S. Lee Chair in
Information Systems as well as two faculty position by 2018.


*Ph.D. Program *

The Management department offers two Ph.D. tracks, MIS and Supply Chain
Management, with a third track Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and
Organization Behavior being offered in 2018.  The College of Business is
committed to the Ph.D. program that has a rich history in developing
behaviorally oriented researchers.  The Ph.D. program is purposefully small
to ensure an ideal environment for high interaction between faculty and
students.
