JISE is the leading academic journal dedicated to IS education and is the
official journal of the Education Special Interest Group (EDSIG) of AITP
(the Association of Information Technology Professionals).

At the January 2017 meeting of the EDSIG Board of Directors, after several
days of discussion and analysis, the board voted unanimously to convert
JISE to a 100% online and free journal. All papers will be put on the JISE
website as full-text PDFs; there will be no subscription fees for
individuals or institutions; and there will be no paper submission,
processing, or publication fees for authors. In essence, JISE is moving to
a Platinum Open Access model.

Authors will benefit from this change by having their accepted research
available globally without the need for subscriptions or access to research
databases. Research published in JISE will reach a broader and more diverse
audience. The greater dissemination of advanced and improved IS pedagogy
will enable IS academics around the world to become better teachers and
researchers. A better educated workforce, in particular with regards to
information systems and technologies, will create a better world for us all.

No new subscriptions are being accepted. Most of the past issues of JISE
now have full-text PDFs available on the JISE website, but the move will be
complete (along with a re-design of the JISE website, including new
functionality and a new organizational structure) in the fall of 2017.
Volume 27 Issue 4 will be the final printed issue.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at
editor at jise.org. Thank you for your past, current, and future interest in
and support of JISE!

Enjoy!
