[AISWorld] Data Science & Analytics Track (SIGDSA) at AMCIS 2018: Call for Mini track proposals

Dear Colleagues:

We invite submissions of mini track proposals for Data Science & Analytics Track (sponsored by SIGDSA) at AMCIS 2018 to be held on 16-18 August 2018 in New Orleans, LA.

Recent technological innovations and novel applications that are being driven by data science & analytics are changing the way organizations and the society-at-large consumes data and information in an unprecedented way. For instance, big data approaches supported by social media computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) is revolutionizing the way individuals communicate and live as well as how organizations operate and develop strategies. It has led to the need for novel tools and techniques for advanced analytics to gain valuable insights for decision makers and organizations. The ability to manage big data and glean insightful knowledge is also leading towards process-centric transformations in organizations with respect to how they operate and maintain their competitive advantage. At a higher level, big data and analytics applications are able to drive positive impact on the society in the areas of food safety, energy and sustainability.

SIGDSA's Data Science & Analytics Track at AMCIS has a rich and successful history of organizing high quality mini tracks that are of importance to the field of Information systems with wide application areas. This track seeks original research that promotes technical, theoretical, design science, pedagogical, and behavioral research as well as emerging applications in the innovative areas of analytics and big data. Potential mini track topics include but not limited to:

  *   Analytics and Big Data for Supply Chain Management
  *   Applications of emerging methods such as in machine learning, deep learning and reinforcement learning
  *   Behavioral data analytics
  *   Big Data & analytics application in specific areas of sustainability, crowdsourcing, healthcare, security, etc.
  *   Big data analytics and smart technologies for digital disruption
  *   Business intelligence & analytics cases
  *   Data analytics for managing organizational and individual performance
  *   Design Science for Big Data
  *   Emerging topics in Big data and Analytics
  *   Fraud analytics
  *   Internet of Things integrated Big Data & analytics
  *   Process mining and Innovation
  *   Risk analytics
  *   Social media and network analytics
  *   Social & ethical Issues in big data
  *   Spatial business intelligence and location analytics
  *   Sports analytics, money ball, safety and performance
  *   Text analytics and NLP
