AMCIS 2018 - Social Computing Track: Call For Minitrack Proposals

We invite the submission of minitrack proposals for the Social Computing
track at the 24th Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS 2018),
which will be held on August 16-18, 2018 in New Orleans. AMCIS 2018 brings
together academics and industry professionals around the world to exchange
knowledge related to the AMCIS 2018 theme: Digital Disruption.

Social Computing track description:

As the quantity of data captured about and shared by individuals has
exploded over the last decade, there has been a resurgence of interest in
information technologies - such as social networking platforms,
collaborative filtering and reputation management systems - that facilitate
social interaction among individuals. With the recognition that Social
Computing straddles research at the intersection of social behavior and
computing technologies, we would like to encourage papers that approach
this topic from a plurality of research methods and perspectives. This
track welcomes submissions that explore how these Social Computing
technologies have transformed how people work, communicate, and play
together.

Minitrack chairs will be responsible for:

a) promoting their minitrack to generate manuscript submissions to AMCIS
2018;

b) soliciting and assigning reviewers for manuscripts submitted to the
minitrack; and

c) making recommendations to track chairs about each manuscript submitted
to the minitrack.

To submit a minitrack proposal, you must submit:

a) minitrack chairs (names, emails, affiliation);

b) minitrack title;

c) short description of minitrack for the AMCIS 2018 website (up to 150
