Tampere University of Technology (TUT) has an open post doc position (non-tenure track) in Information Systems Management from 8/2018-7/2019.

We are interested in fresh post docs who complement our current expertise and activities in the field of information systems and their management. We are interested in candidates who can teach post graduate level courses on IT-business alignment and IS management in general. Although our research is mainly qualitative, we are open to methodological pluralism (quantitative, design science, data science research). Appropriate degree is doctoral degree on information systems sciences or closely related field.

The main duty is to teach a post graduate level course on IT business alignment to business students, and another course on some chosen topic on IS management. The teaching load is moderate as one course runs only 8 weeks. In addition to teaching, also co-supervision of BSc/MSc/PhD students is possible. This leaves significant room for research. The position is thus ideal for a fresh post doc, looking for a head-start in his/her academic career.

The post doc will work with professor Samuli Pekkola and his research team. Ongoing research topics range from IT management and enterprise architecture implementation to data governance and IS acquisition, mostly in the context of egovernment. The candidate does not necessarily have to directly work on these topics, but he/she must be able to contribute to them by theoretical and/or methodological expertise and knowledge.
