The Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) area of the School of Business at George Mason University invites applications for an open-rank tenure-line position in Management of Information Systems (MIS) beginning Fall 2018.

Major responsibilities include conducting high quality research; teaching Management of Information Systems (MIS) courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs, and service to the area, school and university.

Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. in MIS or a closely related discipline. Doctoral candidates must provide clear evidence of expected completion of their degree prior to the start date. Junior-level candidates will demonstrate strong potential for excellence in research and teaching in the MIS area. Senior-level candidates will have a proven record of research, and evidence of teaching MIS courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. Senior level candidates may be considered for a tenured appointment at Associate or Full level, subject to School and University approval.

Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests align with those of the current IS faculty.

ISOM Area:
The ISOM area consists of seven MIS and five OM tenure-track faculty members, and nine term faculty members. They have published their research in top-tier business journals, and have won several college- and university-level teaching awards. They also serve as members of editorial review boards of leading journals in their fields.
