The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics of the School of Business, University at Albany, State University of New York, located in Albany, New York invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in Business Analytics and Big Data. The position is targeted towards new Assistant Professors, though preference may be given to advanced Assistant Professors. The position will commence in Fall 2018.



Candidates should present a record of outstanding scholarly research achievement, evidence of high-quality teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and collegial collaboration. Candidates should have experience teaching classes in Business Analytics, Big Data, Information Systems, and cloud-based big data management services.



The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to publish in top-tier, academic journals, the capacity to teach Business Analytics and Big Data courses, including Analytics for Managers, Business Analytics, Relational and Non-Relational Database Design, Big Data Processing Architectures, Cloud-Based Big Data Services, and Client-Side Prototyping at all levels. We particularly welcome those who can work well in a collegial, interdisciplinary department.

About the School:
