ICIS 2017
SIGGIS Workshop
LOCATION ANALYTICS and COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
of PLACE: THEORY AND PRACTICE

Seoul, Korea
Sunday, December 10, 2017, 8:30am – 2:45pm

This workshop focuses on location analytics, competitive advantage of
place, and their applications for both the traditional and sharing economy,
dealing with relevant theoretical and practical implications. GIS and
location analytics enable businesses to make better market planning,
location decisions, and supply chain management, and to find and reach
target customers by better understanding their traits. By harnessing
location advantage, GIS and location analytics can provide businesses with
a competitive advantage. This workshop, including the keynote talk by an
industry leader in GIS, highlights the emerging area of location analytics
and GIS, and how these tools can support the growth and success of
businesses. In the afternoon part of the workshop, a common session with
SIGDSA will be held for opportunities for collaborative research and
