The Information Systems Program https://goo.gl/yoGuwg  at the Business School (https://goo.gl/sn6Mx4 ) University of Colorado Denver ( https://goo.gl/H4afAH) invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Information Systems with a focus in Cyber Security and Web and Mobile Application Development.  This is a tenure-track position.  Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Information Systems or related fields upon starting the position or be able to present proof that they are on target to complete the requirements for their Ph.D. by December 2018. The position will begin August 2018.  The position consists of 40% teaching, 40% research and 20% service. The individual will also be expected to collaborate with doctoral students and other faculty in the department. All applicants must have the expertise for both high-quality teaching and high-quality academic research, and be willing to support the IS program and its initiatives.
Teaching: the normal teaching load consists of 4 courses (3 hours each) during a 9-month contract period. The individual will be expected to teach Information Systems (IS) courses at the Undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. levels.
Research: We seek scholars who can produce research of excellent quality. The individual is expected to engage in scholarly research, and collaborate with doctoral students and other faculty in the department, and have the expertise in doing research in cybersecurity-related topics, and publish articles in A-level IS journals.

Required Qualifications:

  *   Ph.D. in Information Systems (or a closely related field) from an AACSB accredited (or equivalent) university.
  *   Prior teaching experience in technical courses in cybersecurity and web and mobile application development at both the graduate and undergraduate levels,
  *   Strong research skills and focus on publishing in leading academic journals and/or conference proceedings
  *   Demonstrated ability to teach courses and to conduct research in Cyber-security and Information assurance, and Web and Mobile application development
 Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  *   Enterprise Security and Cyber Analytics
  *   Cloud Computing Security
  *   Privacy and Data protection
