Youngstown State University is a comprehensive, metropolitan university in northeast Ohio, centrally located between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. YSU has a student body of 13,200 students enrolled in six undergraduate colleges and the College of Graduate Studies. 

The Williamson College of Business Administration (WCBA) is committed to 1) preparing students to be successful business leaders and professionals through an emphasis on students’ academic, professional and leadership development, 2) conducting research with impact, and 3) supporting the economic development of our region. The WCBA offers the Master of Accountancy, MBA, and BSBA degree with majors in accounting, advertising/public relations, business economics, finance, general business, human resource management, international business, information and supply chain management, and marketing. The undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The WCBA is composed of 1400 undergraduate students, 175 MBA students and 21 MAcc students.  Thirty-seven full-time faculty members, professional academic advisors, the WCBA Center for Career Management, Center for Student Services, the Center for Nonprofit Leadership, the Williamson Center for International Business, the Entrepreneurship Center, and the YSU Small Business Development Center. The WCBA’s international business initiatives have been awarded an Ohio Center of Excellence designation by the Ohio Board of Regents. 

Current members of the WCBA faculty have graduated from leading business schools such as Purdue, Ohio State, University of Illinois, University of Pittsburgh, SUNY Buffalo, and Boston University. In recent years, our faculty published in journals such as Strategic Management Journal, MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Entrepreneurship: Theory & Practice, Journal of General Management, Managerial and Decision Economics, etc. Our faculty members have also been active in securing substantial grants from both public as well as private funding agencies such as the U.S. Department of Education and the Kaufmann Foundation. 

Assistant Professor, Management – Management Information Systems (Tenure Track) 
The Williamson College of Business Administration is inviting applications for a tenure‐track position in Management Information Systems. The successful applicant will teach both undergraduate and graduate (on campus and online) courses in MIS, in addition to any of the following areas: Data Analytics, Database Management, Systems Analysis & Design, or Social Media & e‐Commerce, conduct research that results in presentations and peer reviewed journal articles, and engage in activities that support the goals of the department, Williamson College of Business Administration, YSU, and the profession. Engagement with the business community is expected. Ability to contribute through teaching, scholarship and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community. 

Qualifications: The successful applicant should possess a doctorate in Management Information Systems or a related area e.g., Data Analytics, Technology Management, etc. from an AACSB‐accredited institution. Applicants who are in the final stages of the dissertation process will be considered. Other requirements include 1) an enthusiastic commitment to teaching excellence; 2) demonstrated ability to do publishable research in relevant peer‐reviewed journals; 3) ability to work with the business community to further the goals of the department, college, and university; and 4) strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

Position Available: August 15, 2018. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
