[AISWorld] CFP: 3nd Annual National Cyber Analyst Challenge and Conference

Dear Colleagues

 

Please consider entering a student team or presenting industry relevant
research or curriculum at the 3nd Annual National Cyber Analyst Challenge
and Conference (NCAC) powered by Leidos, NBCUniversal, Vanguard, and Pfizer
and organized by Temple University's Institute for Business and Information
Technology (IBIT) to develop the fields of cyber analytics, digital
forensics, information assurance, and IT audit. 

 

NCAC focuses on institutional, faculty, and student development offering
both knowledge and monetary resources for participating in the challenge
including awards of $10,000 and $5,000 for schools getting into (virtual)
Phase I, (virtual) training for Phase II, and a $20,000 grand and $5,000
runner-up prize for the finals which will take place in Philadelphia at
Temple University, April 12-13, 2018. 

 

The conference is a one-day parallel event for faculty and industry focusing
on relevant research and curriculum in a workshop format that integrates
both industry and academic perspectives. The formal call for presentations
for the conference will go out early in 2018. 

 

NCAC is multidisciplinary and encourages participation from IS, CS, and
Engineering programs and faculty. In the past finalists have included IS and
CS teams from Iowa State (winner), University of Arizona, University of
Alabama, Carnegie Mellon (winner),  Howard University, Penn State, Temple
University, University of Central Florida, University of New Hampshire,
Syracuse University, University of Maryland, University of South Florida,
University of Texas at San Antonio, and Villanova University. 

 

The registration deadline is December 15 for student teams interested in
participating in the challenge. Learn more at:
