*Scope*

-------------------------------------------------------

The rapid advancement in wireless technologies and mobile computing, the
emergence of cognitive radios to overcome the spectrum scarcity issues and
supporting dynamic access to wireless radio spectrum, and the explosion of
embedded systems in the market with Internet connectivity capability
allowing machine to machine communication, resulting into the advent of
Internet of Things and smart environments, are bringing new challenging
requirements and issues for researchers.

The Performance Analysis and Enhancement of Wireless Networks (PAEWN-2018)
represents an international forum for researchers from both academia and
industry to expose state-of-the-art, the latest trends, research findings,
and emerging issues related to the areas of wireless and mobile computing,
cognitive radio networks, IoT, and wireless on-chip networks. This workshop
will focus on the development and application of analytical modeling,
simulation, prototype testbed, and measurement-based performance evaluation
techniques applied to the aforementioned areas.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

   - Modelling and simulation of cloud computing systems
   - Modelling and simulation of IoT systems
   - Energy management of IoT systems
   - Stochastic modelling and performance evaluation of wireless, sensor
   and mobile networks and devices
   - Design and analysis of wireless networks and protocols
   - Quality of Service provisioning in wireless/mobile systems
   - Wireless/Mobile network architectures
   - Modelling and simulation of wireless on-chip networks
   - Resource and data management in mobile /wireless/ad-hoc/IoT/cognitive
   radio networks
   - Security issues in mobile /wireless/ad-hoc/IoT/ cognitive radio
   networks
   - Energy saving protocols for mobile /wireless/ad-hoc/IoT/cognitive
   radio networks
   - Admission control and congestion control protocols
   - Evaluation of scalability and reliability in mobile
   /wireless/ad-hoc/IoT/cognitive radio networks
   - Cross-layer design and optimization
   - Traffic modelling in mobile /wireless/ad-hoc/IoT/ cognitive radio
   networks
   - Mobility management and handover issues
