The Department of Management and Information Systems at Mississippi State University invites applications for one full-time non tenure-track position teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Systems. Successful candidate should have a Ph.D. (ABD candidates will be considered) in Information Systems or a closely related field and be willing to teach Database and conduct sufficient research, particularly in the Security and Assurance area, to maintain academic qualifications to teach. The position is available for August 16, 2018.
 
The M&IS Department within the College of Business includes research-active MIS faculty members who publish in premier academic journals, including (in the last three years) MISQ, ISR, JMIS, JAIS, EJIS, ISJ, and Decision Sciences. We offer the undergraduate BIS degree, an MSIS, and the PhD in IS, and our area focus is in information security and assurance.

Our information systems undergraduate degree program is the world's oldest, established in 1963 (Shim, et al., 2015).
