19th International Conference on Web Information System Engineering (WISE
2018)

WISE has established itself as a solid international community aiming at
high quality research and offering the ground for advancing and progressing
efforts in Web information systems and engineering.  Previous WISE
conferences were held in Hong Kong, China (2000), Kyoto, Japan (2001),
Singapore (2002), Roma, Italy (2003), Brisbane, Australia (2004), New York,
USA (2005), Wuhan, China (2006), Nancy, France (2007), Auckland, New
Zealand (2008), Poznan, Poland (2009), Hong Kong, China (2010), Sydney,
Australia (2011), Paphos, Cyprus (2012), Nanjing, China (2013),
Thessaloniki, Greece (2014), Miami, USA (2015), Shanghai, China (2016), and
Puschino, Russia (2017).

The aim of this 19th edition of the conference series on Web Information
Systems Engineering is to provide an international forum for researchers,
professionals, and industrial practitioners to share their knowledge in the
rapidly growing area of Web technologies, methodologies and applications.
This edition will promote the theme of Web Engineering in the Era of Big
Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), two highly important areas for the
world economy, in general, and the knowledge economy, in particular.


**Topic of Interests**
WISE 2018 welcomes all workshop proposal submissions that fall in the
domain of Web, information systems, data analytics, AI, and knowledge and
data engineering. The decision on acceptance/rejection of workshop
proposals will be made on the basis of the overall quality of the proposal,
its appeal to a viable fraction of the Web community as well as how it fits
in with the conference.

**Submission**
Submissions should be made by e-mail in PDF format with subject title "WISE
2018 Workshop Proposal". Workshop proposals should include the following
information:

• The title of the workshop.
• The names and addresses of the organizers, and a designated contact
person.
• Brief description of the workshop, including abstract, objectives,
relevance, and expected outcome.
• Tentative program committee members and speakers etc., if applicable.
• A description of the plans for workshop (e.g., program, keynotes,
highlights, etc.).
• The expected number of attendees and the expected length of the workshop
(half day, whole day).
• A brief description of past versions of the workshop, if applicable,
including dates, organizers, sites, and any other relevant information.

**Important Dates**
Workshop Proposal Submission Due Date: April 27, 2018
Workshop Notification of Acceptance: May 7, 2018
Workshops Date: November 12, 2018.

**WISE 2018 Support**
WISE workshop papers will be published by Springer in Lecture Notes in
Computer Science series. WISE 2018 will provide administrative support in
the areas of registration, hotel meeting rooms, and publication of the
workshop proceedings in Springer. Each workshop will receive one
complementary WISE registration and a free accommodation, given that the
workshop receives eight or more registrations.
