[AISWorld] Vacancy: Postdoc Research Fellow in Business Data Analytics at University of Tartu

Applications are invited for a position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow 
at the Software Engineering & Information Systems Research Group, 
Institute of Computer Science, University of Tartu - http://sep.cs.ut.ee/

The institute is the leading Computer Science department in the Baltics 
and one of the top-2 in Central and Eastern European universities 
according to the field-specific Times Higher Education Ranking 2017. Its 
Software Engineering & Information Systems group conducts research in 
the fields of business process management, software process management, 
and secure information systems design. The group is composed of 25 
members, including 12 PhD students. The group places a strong emphasis 
on research excellence, quality of its research publications and 
research prototypes, and scientific reproducibility. In the past five 
years, members of the group have received eight best or distinguished 
paper awards at international conferences in the field of Information 
Systems Engineering, including ER, CAiSE, and BPM. The institute has 
strong ties with the local industry and manages a portfolio of half a 
dozen research projects with industry partners in addition to

The successful candidate will conduct research in the field of business 
data analytics, with a focus on process mining, predictive process 
monitoring, and recommender systems. The researcher will lead a new 
research stream within the group, aimed at developing a recommender 
system for continuous optimization of business processes.

Candidates must have a PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline. 
Expertise in at least one (ideally more) of the following fields is 
essential: process mining, recommender systems, cost-sensitive learning, 
or active learning. Experience in developing research prototypes and 
working in collaborative research projects is desirable.

The position is fixed-term for two years. The starting is 1 September 
2018 but a later starting date can be negotiated. Remuneration will be 
2500 euros/month. Estonia applies a flat income tax of 20% on salaries 
and provides public health insurance for employees.
