The Department of Business and Management of LUISS University invites outstanding candidates to express their interests for an Assistant Professorship (fixed term, tenure track) in the area of Industry 4.0 (Information Systems, Internet of Things, Operation Management).

Profile

Candidates will hold a PhD from a leading school and an active research program in Industry 4.0 (Information Systems, Internet of Things or Operation Management) as well as the potential to publish in prominent journals. She/he will have teaching experience.

Position

Successful candidates are expected to act as effective members of a research team within the Department and contribute to the collegial and intellectual life of the University and the community at large. Research funding is available. Candidates are expected to teach either at undergraduate or graduate levels (in English or in Italian or both) and to supervise master dissertations and bachelor papers in their fields. Teaching assistants are also available. Appointments are full-time. The salary is competitive. The position is for a 3-year fixed term contract, renewable provided a positive evaluation by the Department.

About the Department

The Department of Business and Management offers undergraduate and post-graduate programs. The Department of Business and Management and the LUISS Business School are EQUIS accredited. Primary areas of faculty research include: accounting and performance measurement systems; business, corporate and international strategy; corporate governance; digital innovation and transformation; ethics, responsibility and sustainability; finance and banking; innovation and industry evolution; law and economics; marketing and consumer behaviour; organization theory and HRM. As part of a major university wide initiative dedicated to the development of teaching and research in the emerging fields of Digital Management and Data Science, the Department will offer a new Bachelor Degree in Management & Computer Science starting in September 2018.
