Please note that May 15 is the registration deadline for the Conference on Data Science for Business and Economics at Purdue University. The conference is organized by the Business Information and Analytic Center (BIAC) of the university and sponsored by Accenture. It will take place on Friday and Saturday, May 25 and 26, with a welcome reception in the evening of the 24th. Notwithstanding the title of the conference, anyone interested in data science from any discipline or background is welcome to attend it. One must, however, register to attend. I encourage you to register soon, if you haven't done so already.

Apparently, this conference has generated a great deal of interest in the research community in spite of the relatively short notice we could provide for it. We received well over four times more submissions than the number of talks/papers we had planned for originally. We increased the number of slots a little, but still faced considerable difficulty in making our selection because there were many more high-quality submissions than we could accommodate. We believe the final program is truly exciting, with an interesting array of keynote presentations, papers, and posters, representing a wide variety of data science research.

To register, as well as for information about accommodation, program description, keynote speakers and their presentations, etc., please visit the conference site: http://www.conf.purdue.edu/BIAC2018Conference

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. You may also write to BIAC at purdue.edu<mailto:BIAC at purdue.edu> or call 765-496-8000.

Best,
Prabuddha
