The main goal of the Junior Faculty Consortium is to offer all participants insights into their academic career that can help them be valuable, marketable, and successful in their career from their own perspective, and that of their university and the academy. Consortium participants are AIS members beginning their first, second, third or fourth year in an academic position in the Fall of 2018. The Junior Faculty Consortium theme will be "Finding Balance as you prepare for Tenure."

The purpose of this workshop is to help associate professors set long-term career goals and to think about how they can best serve their institution and society. The workshop includes a panel of well-respected faculty to help evaluate what path to take in careers. What type of roles to assume: research, editorial roles, leadership or administrative. These are all possibilities. This workshop will help set meaningful personal goals, create opportunities, and learn to thrive no matter what the climate

The doctoral student corner is a dedicated space for doctoral students attending the conference to orient to the AMCIS experience and to connect with others in the field. This space will be available throughout the conference as a place for doctoral students to network and relax between conference events. All doctoral students of all levels are encouraged to register for this free ancillary event when registering for AMCIS 2018.

If you have previously registered for AMCIS 2018, but would like to modify your registration by adding on a workshop, please follow the below steps:
1.  Click on the modification link within your confirmation email to access your registration.
2. Sign-in if you are not automatically signed in.
3.  Scroll down and select the "Attendee Selections" tab
4. Select the preferred Ancillary Meetings & Workshops
5.  Select the "Save & Proceed to Checkout" button
6. Scroll down and insert payment details
Once the payment details are collected, select "Submit"
