Tenure Track Assistant Professor in IS and Tenured Associate/Full Professor
positions in the Information Systems and Supply Chain Management Department
at UNC Greensboro

The Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (ISSCM)
in the Bryan School of Business at the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro (UNCG) invites applications, expressions of interest, and
nominations for:

- A tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Information
Systems. The position will commence on August 1, 2019.

- A tenured position at the Associate Professor or Professor rank in
Information Systems. The position will commence on August 1, 2019.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a doctorate from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited school
with a specialization in Information Systems. Candidates should have
demonstrated excellence in teaching and research and should have published
in mainstream top-tier Information Systems journals, such as found in the
FT50 or CABS Academic Journal Guide at the 4 and 4* levels.

Expectations

We expect the selected candidate to be able to teach both core and elective
courses in information systems, ensuring that there is an appropriate level
of technical content.  Additionally, elective courses are likely to be in
areas such as cyber security, database management, networking and
telecommunication.
As per AACSB accreditation standards, there is an expectation that the
candidate’s research is tied to her or his teaching area and to one or more
key elements of our mission (problem-solving, innovation, globalization,
sustainability, and ethics), while also participating in department
initiatives and hands-on projects

About ISSCM

The ISSCM Department comprises faculty drawn from Information Systems and
Supply Chain Management areas. The Department offers a Ph.D. in Information
Systems, MS in Information Technology & Management (MSITM), with
specializations in cybersecurity, business analytics and supply chain
management. The program is both online and face to face and offers an
innovative stackable certificate option to complete the degree. The
undergraduate program is currently being revised and will offer
concentrations in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Cyber
Security, and Enterprise Resource Planning. All ISSCM offerings are well
aligned with SAS, SAP, and Red Hat, offering a pathway for the students to
independently gain industry certifications.

The Bryan School and UNC Greensboro

The Bryan School has over 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students and
more than 100 full- and part-time faculty members housed in six departments
and programs. Accredited in both business and accounting by AACSB, the
Bryan School is the recipient of many rankings, honors, and accolades. The
faculty and students are both impressive.  For example, in 2017 faculty
members averaged 2.6 peer-reviewed journal articles each (10 in FT50
journals), published 13 books, and occupied 82 editorial positions with
peer-reviewed journals (editor, associate editor, or editorial board
member).  Students have traditionally performed well in national and
regional competitions.  The School takes great pride in being one of the
