The Department of Information Systems in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno (Nevada), invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level(s).  The appointment(s) will begin on August 2019.

We are seeking academic professionals who will conduct and publish research related to information systems and who are dynamic teachers able to explain advanced computer concepts to undergraduate and graduate (master's degree) students. Candidates should be able to develop courses in two or more of the following areas:  cybersecurity, programming, web development, data communications/networking, systems analysis and design, IS policy/strategy, change management, project management, or database management.  Responsibilities of the position include teaching undergraduate and graduate classes, producing quality publications in peer-reviewed journals, and participating in university and other service activities.

For appointment at the associate or full level, we are looking for a seasoned researcher with an established, ongoing research agenda currently generating publications in highly ranked journals in information systems.  An ideal candidate would also be interested in conducting service activities and serving in leadership roles in the department.  This position is perfect for a team-player who enjoys working with others to enhance the growth and strength of the organization.

The Department of Information Systems is located in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno.  The College of Business at Nevada is accredited by the AACSB for both its business and accounting programs.  The College encourages and supports a balanced work environment of scholarship, teaching, service and professional engagement.  The college has approximately 75 full-time faculty offering strong and cohesive undergraduate and graduate degree programs with 12 different majors available for undergraduate students, including a major and minor in Information Systems.  The college also offers an MBA and 4 specialized master's degrees, one of which is in Information Systems.  The master's degree in information systems offers two different tracks - one in data analytics, and the other in information systems management.  The college has a doctoral program in Economics and will be starting a doctoral program in Business Administration within the next calendar year.  Faculty from different disciplines in the college work together to study exciting and challenging topics, resulting in interdisciplinary publications and new course content.  Faculty in the College of Business also collaborate on research with faculty across the university campus in such diverse areas as medicine, health sciences, computer science and engineering, and political science.
