Position:         ¾-Time Faculty, Non-Tenure Track, Department of Marketing and Business Information Systems, William G. Rohrer College of Business - 10 month ¾-time non-tenure track position.

Rowan University is a comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 18,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. Rowan is the second university in the country to offer M.D. and D.O. medical-degree granting programs. The institution is also home to the South Jersey Technology Park, which fosters the translation of applied research into commercial products and processes. Its business incubator also supports that mission. The University boasts seven colleges-William G. Rohrer College of Business, Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering and colleges of Communication and Creative Arts, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Performing Arts, and Science and Mathematics, as well as the School of Biomedical Science and Health Professions.

The Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University is seeking applicants for a ¾- time, non-tenure track position for the 2018-2019 academic year. The candidate's primary responsibilities will include teaching courses in Database Management in addition to other core MIS courses. In addition to teaching, some departmental service will be required.  This position is a one-year appointment only.

An MBA or master's degree in a technology-related field with appropriate professional experience is required.  A Ph.D. and/or teaching experience at the post-secondary level is considered a plus.

Start Date:  September 1, 2018

The MIS program prepares students for careers in a rapidly changing technological world by training them to analyze business problems, challenges, and opportunities and to subsequently design, develop, implement and maintain business solutions through the use of information and information technology.  The MIS program is in the Marketing and Business Information Systems Department, which is one of three academic departments within the Rohrer College of Business.  The following MIS program options are offered: an undergraduate major, an undergraduate minor, a MBA specialization, a certificate of graduate study, and a certificate of advanced graduate study.
