Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that the AIS Student Competition lineup has been
finalized and the details will be released over the next few months based
on availability of data and use cases from the sponsors. The first
competition to be released is the Case Study competition brought to you by
the Computational Society. The cases center around the value and impact of
analytics and artificial intellgence in individuals, organizations, or
society. The case studies are compelling and are available just in time for
incorporating into the fall semester if you wish. The cases are appropriate
for teams or individuals as well as undergraduate or graduate students. The
details, links to the cases and resources, and a note from the sponsor are
provided below.

In addition to the case study challenge, there will three more competitions
released as follows:
1. The Analytics Challenge presented by Temple University — to be released
around October 24.
2. The Blockchain Hackathon Challenge presented by the University of
Arkansas will also be released around October 24.
3. The Systems Development Challenge will be released by the end of
October.

The competitions are only open to AIS Student Chapters. If your school
doesn’t have a student chapter, and you’re interested in starting one, feel
free to contact us at studentchapters at aisnet.org and/or visit the AIS
Student Chapter website at sc.aisnet.org.

Sincerely,
