[AISWorld] Nominations for AIS Outreach Practice Publication Award - Due by October 1, 2018

We welcome your nominations (including self-nominations) for the AIS Outreach Practice Publication Award!  The AIS Outreach Practice Publication Award, established by AIS Council in 2015, recognizes members who successfully transfer research to practitioner audiences in practice-based publications. The publication can be a book in any medium in the public domain or an impactful online or offline publication other than a journal article or a report that serves as the primary basis for a journal article. The book or other practice-based publication selected for the award must be publicly available with evidence that it has influenced practitioner or decision makers in the public or private sectors.

To be nominated for an outstanding publication, the author(s) must:

  1.  Be a member of AIS (at least one author)
  2.  May not have received the AIS Outreach Practice Publication Award within the five (5) years prior to the nomination
  3.  Have made significant contributions to the practitioner audience in practice-based publications through research

Selection criteria will include:

- Total sales

- Number of languages into which the publication has been legally published

- The names of awards received by the publication and the source of each award

- Electronic copies of all book reviews (business press, other media outlets, blogs, newsletters, etc.,with the reviewer's name and affiliation provided; this does NOT refer to online reviews provided on sites like Amazon.]

- Evidence of multiple copies being distributed to the employees of an organization

- Evidence of course adoptions within MBA programs and/or Executive Doctoral programs

- Evidence (from media content, not word-of-mouth) of policy being influenced within an organization



For self-nominations, please provide information about all selection criteria above.  For other nominations, please provide as much information as possible related to the selection criteria and the committee will contact the authors of the nominated publication to supply any missing information.
