Tenure track positions at FEB are temporary positions subject to a tenure
decision at the end. You will be appointed initially for a period of seven
years, on the condition of a positive mid-term evaluation at the end of the
third year of employment. The seventh year is intended to compensate for
any ‘life events’ (e.g. prolonged illness or parental leave) which might
take place during the first six years. Based on a positive final evaluation
in the sixth year, tenure will be granted and you will become Associate
Professor. The track concerns an academic career path which leads to a
position as Full Professor if criteria are met. Formal tenure track
requirements primarily include criteria with respect to research
prominence, teaching, and service.
