We cordially invite you to participate in the Bright Internet Global Summit
2018 (BIGS2018 at SF) organized by Stanford University

Internet Research Center, and  <https://aisnet.org/> AIS SIG of Information
Security & Privacy. BIGS2018 at SF that will be held in December 12th, 2018 at
San Francisco Marriott Marquis Hotel.

 

The Bright Internet Global Summit (BIGS) is a global forum for discussing
the vision, principles, research, and business opportunities of the Bright
Internet Initiative as posted in www.brightinternet.org
<http://www.brightinternet.org> . It is a channel of exchanging the progress
and deriving agreements among stakeholders in the private and public sectors
for mutual benefits which cannot be realized by a single country alone. In
this regard, BIGS2018 at SF is the continuation of

<http://brightinternet.org/bics2018/> BICS2018 in Beijing. The summit will
be held in conjunction with the  <https://icis2018.aisconferences.org/>
International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2018
(https://icis2018.aisconferences.org) of Association for Information Systems
(http://aisnet.org).

 

The BIGS2018 at SF in December 12th, 2018 is dedicated to industry
practitioners and policy makers who may not be AIS members. This workshop
will be a good opportunity to learn the trends and issues of the Bright
Internet Initiative which aims the preventive cybersecurity paradigm by
ameliorating threats from origins in contrast with the current defensive
cybersecurity paradigm at attacked sites. It will also be a good opportunity
to meet the key players of the Bright Internet and participate in the next
step of the Initiative. Early bird registration ends in November 1, 2018.

Academic sessions will be held in December 13th as a track of Pre-ICIS
Workshop on Information Security and Privacy (WISP).  The registration of
WISP will be provided along with the registration of ICIS2018 at

12th meeting at a discounted fee.
