Position Summary:
Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty members to teach in Information Systems (IS) beginning August, 2019. The School of Business at Slippery Rock University offers a BS in Information Systems and an MBA, which includes several IS courses. Duties include excellent classroom instruction, research and scholarly growth that may involve undergraduate students, academic advising, committee work at departmental, college, and university levels, and other duties as assigned. The position may be required to work part time in China in a new IS joint program.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Information Systems or closely related field. Commitment to the education of diverse populations. Perceived ability to work productively with students and colleagues, and to engage in appropriate research is required. Applicants must have a doctorate degree from an AACSB school, have at least two PRJs within 5 years (unless a new PhD), be willing to develop/teach online courses, and teach overseas for at least one semester per year. A.B.D. considered if dissertation defense is scheduled. Successful performance in an on-campus interview, including a teaching demonstration, is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Areas of interest to the department are: cyber security, data/business analytics and cross-disciplinary collaboration, and health care but all areas of IS will be entertained. Preference will be given to candidates having a demonstrable research agenda in core Information Systems areas that can include undergraduates.
