It is World Cities Day today, 31 October 2018.  World Cities Day (http://www.un.org/en/events/citiesday/index.shtml ) aims to promote the international community's interest in global urbanization; enhance cooperation among countries and cities in meeting opportunities and addressing challenges of urbanization; and contribute to sustainable urban development.

This year's theme for World Cities Day is 'Building Sustainable and Resilient Cities' - cities need to become better places to protect and enhance people's lives without leaving anyone behind!
