*DESCRIPTION*



IFIP WG 8.6 is pleased to announce its annual conference on Diffusion and
Transfer of IT would be held on June 21 – 22, 2019 at University of Ghana
in Accra Ghana. This conference is intended to be a forum for scholars,
practioners and doctoral students who are interested in the diffusion of
technology to exchange ideas and collaborate with members of the IFIP
community. We invite individuals to submit research articles, case studies
and research-in-progress that address all interesting aspect of IT transfer
and diffusion including but not limited to:

·       Desirable outcomes from technology adoption in developing countries

·       Unintended consequences of technology adoption and how to address
technostress and cybercrime

·       Diffusion and effect of information technology for developing
economies

·       Diffusion, transfer, and implementation of both mature and immature
smart information technologies and systems in organizations and countries

·       Transfer of technology to be incorporated in systems for customers
and clients

·       Design, adoption and diffusion of technology in the emergency
management, health, entertainment, government, political and criminal
justice sectors

·       Identification of risk factors and barriers to success in emerging
technology adoption and strategies for addressing them

·       Methods to evaluate the efficiency, effectiveness, and value of
technology transfer programs and approaches

·       Case studies of technology transfer and diffusion to provide
instances to guide research, development, and practice

·       Standards and intellectual property issues that inhibit or
facilitate information technology transfer

·       Ethics in the adoption of Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics,
wearables and mobile technology

All submissions undergo double-blind peer-review process. Please submit
your papers using our conference submission system located at

not exceed twelve (12) and short papers must not exceed seven (7)
single-spaced pages including all text, figures, tables, and appendices.
The cover page, abstract, keywords, and references are excluded from this
