What You Will Do
The UC Business School / Department of Accounting and Information Systems invites applications for a continuing/tenured position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor (equivalent to Assistant Professor/ Seasoned Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor). Candidates with a specialisation in business analytics/ business intelligence, big data, data management and their application are invited to apply.

The position will involve teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level, undertaking postgraduate research supervision, contributing actively and positively to the research profile of the Department and School, and to administrative activities.

Who You Are
Candidates should have a completed PhD, or be close to obtaining a PhD in Information Systems (or an equivalent subject) by the post start date. He/she should be able to demonstrate very good written and oral communication skills.  Successful candidates for the position of lecturer should have the potential to publish in high-quality, internationally recognized academic journals. Candidates for the position of senior lecturer should have a proven record of publications in such journals. A successful candidate at the associate professor level is expected to have a strong publication record, be experienced in supervising postgraduate research students.

Candidates with a specialisation in business analytics/ business intelligence, big data, data management and their applications are invited to apply; they will have an opportunity to contribute to a growing program in business/data analytics and the development of new courses to support this program.

All candidates should have good teaching skills and a commitment to quality teaching delivery; and be able and willing to contribute to School / College and professional service activities. Candidates with experience in teaching larger undergraduate classes are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Department of Accounting and Information is one of four departments in the UC Business School, which is one of New Zealand’s leading business schools; we are AACSB, AMBA, CAANZ, CPA Australia and CFA and PRMIA accredited. The Department comprises about 20 highly motivated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable staff. They perform cutting-edge research, engaging in broader scholarship, and carrying out curriculum design and evaluation work, alongside their teaching.
