Please forward this message to your colleagues who may be interested in this
position.

Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Lakehead University,
Ontario, Canada.

Fewer than 5% of business programs worldwide have been accredited by the
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) - and Lakehead
University's Thunder Bay Campus is one of them. Dynamic, modern, and
learner-centred, Lakehead University acknowledges all our students as valued
leaders of tomorrow, whose education and success are most paramount to our
institution. Both campuses in Thunder Bay and Orillia promise an enriching
university experience: a blend of academic excellence and opportunity with a
variety of social and recreational activities. Lakehead's small-class
environment balances theoretical learning with practical experience to give
our students opportunities not found at other business schools. Lakehead
students gain a comprehensive understanding of core business disciplines
early on before specializing in a field of study - empowering them to
succeed on their own terms.

Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic), the Dean of the
Faculty of Business Administration is responsible for the overall management
of the Faculty and serves as a strategic and collegial leader to faculty,
staff, and students. The Dean contributes to the further development of the
Faculty and its programs in research, teaching, and service through a keen
understanding of what makes the Faculty both exceptional and unconventional:
small classes, emphasized experiential learning, substantial regional
impact, and a high degree of contact between students and faculty. The Dean
leads the development of and articulates a clear strategic vision for the
Faculty and serves as an active and visible ambassador, working closely with
internal and external partners and stakeholders, including local business
and Indigenous communities.

As the ideal candidate, you possess a PhD Degree in business administration
or management, a DBA Degree, or another relevant terminal degree. You are a
well-established scholar and a thoughtful, strategic, entrepreneurial leader
with a successful academic administrative background. You are passionate
about advancing connections with local and global business partners, and
relationships with Indigenous partners, by developing informed education,
research, and service strategies. You understand the value proposition for a
small school with multiple campuses and have supported the development of
high quality undergraduate and graduate programs, and you know how to
develop and maintain a culture of intense research, scholarly, and creative
activity. Your engaging, open communication style helps you build friendly
community relationships and expand outreach and donation programs. You are
committed to social justice, to diversity, to inclusion, and to collegial
governance.

If you are interested in this opportunity, contact Katherine Frank or Robert
Fleming at 1-866-822-6022, or please apply online at

Lakehead University is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive
environment and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals
including women, racialized persons, Indigenous people, persons with
disabilities and other equity-seeking groups. The academic rank of the
appointment will be commensurate with the qualifications of the successful
candidate. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however,
Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority, in
accordance with Canadian immigration requirements.
