LECTURER OF DECISION SCIENCES

Summary of Position
The University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics is seeking a lecturer in the Decision Sciences Department, beginning in August 2019.

The successful applicant will be expected to teach three or four sections of courses per semester (six to seven over the academic year). The department teaches undergraduate and masters-level courses in Information Systems, Business Statistics, Operations Management, Management Science, and Business Analytics. Ability to teach in multiple areas is highly desirable, especially Information Systems and Business Analytics. Specific courses will be determined by department need and assigned by the department chair. The Decision Sciences Department plays a key role in the Business Administration programs of the college at the undergraduate and MBA levels, in the undergraduate Option in Information Systems and Business Analytics (ISBA), the MBA ISBA specialization, and is involved in the university-wide M.S. Analytics program.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have a related Master’s degree coupled with relevant experience, or a Ph.D. in a field related to the department’s offerings. Applicants are expected to meet the College’s standards for being qualified with regard to AACSB standards. The applicant is expected to be committed to excellent teaching and be engaged in continued professional development/practice and/or research. Evidence of successful teaching is a desired part of the application.

There is a student enrollment of 13,000 students, with a full-time faculty of over 600, offering 90 undergraduate and more than 70 graduate programs.

Additional Job Information
Renewal of the position for the following academic year may be possible at the discretion of the college. An appointment for a lecturer position includes the full benefits package of the University for non-tenure-track faculty. Lecturers at UNH are represented by the AAUP through a collective bargaining agreement.
