*Marquette University, *

*Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA *

*July 15-19*

*Description *

To foster a community dedicated to promoting research and development,
exchange of knowledge and deployment of information systems for crisis
management, including the social, technical and practical aspects of all
information and communication systems used or to be used in all phases of
management of emergencies, disasters and crises. We will seek ISCRAMx
cooperative agreement to designate this as a COMPSAC/ISCRAM collaborative
workshop which will increase visibility within the disaster informatics
research community.

ISCRAM is an international association that supports a World conference
alternating between Europe and the Americas every other year, as well as
conference offerings in Asia, the Mediterranean, and other areas of the
world. The ISCRAM association focuses on improving response to, and
recovery from, major disasters and crisis events using information systems
tools, computer science, and engineering solutions. ISCRAM is a
transdisciplinary community including both researchers and emergency
management professionals and places an emphasis on technologies that can
directly improve real-world outcomes while also advancing scientific
understanding.

*Scope and Topics*

Researchers and practitioners all over the world, from both academia and
industry, working in the areas of process engineering, service-oriented
computing and security, cloud security are invited to discuss state of the
