PhD Position in the Project DIACHRONIC DYNAMICS OF LEXICAL NETWORKS (DYLEN)

The Institute of Information Systems Engineering, Research Unit of E-Commerce at TU Wien, is offering a PhD position (40 hours per week) in the project Diachronic Dynamics of Lexical Networks (DYLEN)* funded by the Austrian Academy of Sciences’ go!digital Next Generation Programme. The starting date is as soon as possible and we offer up to 2 years of appointment. The workplace will be TU Wien, Favoritenstrasse 9-11/194-04, A-1040 Vienna, Austria. The minimum salary (level B1 of the Austrian Collective Agreement for university staff) is EUR 2.864,50 per month/gross (14 times a year).

Admission conditions:

We are looking for a candidate with a Diploma or Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent program in Austria or abroad, who has strong oral and written communication skills in English. Profound knowledge of one or more of the following research areas are required: network science, large-scale data analysis, machine learning and statistical modelling.
