Theme: This professional development symposium is organized and presented by SIG Social Inclusion to facilitate interactive engagement with an audience of IS scholars, educators, practitioners, and doctoral students about social inclusion practices related to research, teaching, and service. This PDS is intended for those who are interested in deepening existing social inclusion practices and anyone just beginning to consider the importance of social inclusion in their professional life. SIG-SI leaders will draw upon their own SI practices to offer guidance and examples of how they have successfully and unsuccessfully infused their research, teaching and service with a social inclusion sensibility.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  *   Designing and conducting socially inclusive research (irrespective of research topic);
  *   Cultivating an inclusive classroom;
  *   Designing inclusive curriculum;
  * Social inclusion practices that can apply to scholarly review, committee work, and AIS communities.

The PDS is a great opportunity to empower you with actionable steps you can take to enhance your social inclusion practices.

This is a great opportunity for you to share your research, teaching and service practices for social inclusion and learn about other scholars' practices in a relaxed and supportive setting.
