The Research Chair in Digital Health at HEC Montreal, Canada is actively recruiting PhD students and postdoc fellows interested in pursuing research in information technology in the health care context. Since 2004, research conducted by our team has been driven by the desire for change and improvement in health systems. Nowadays, information technologies such as electronic medical records, personal health records, telemedicine applications, public health surveillance systems, and artificial intelligence, are a primary lever for caring for patients and helping clinicians and allied professionals who care for them. For their part, smart connected devices linked to mobile health applications enable all citizens to better manage their health and well-being. To achieve its primary mission, the Research Chair has developed over the years close collaborations and partnerships with several university-affiliated medical centers, the health authorities in Quebec, and Canada Health Infoway. Developing new knowledge in the area of digital health not only improves Canada’s scientific leadership, but also enables clinicians, decision makers, policy makers, and governments to use our finite resources more effectively and efficiently, with a view to providing better, safer and more consistent patient care services. Our team is composed of individuals who are passionate about digital health and its impacts at the individual, organizational and societal levels. About half of the Chair’s graduate students and post-doctoral fellows are international, several of whom (not all) have relevant work experience in health care organizations. Wanna join our team?
