The OR Society is looking to replenish the top-level editorial team for the European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS), following the term completion of Dov Te'eni. We seek a recognized researcher to become co-Editor-in-Chief (EiC) and co-lead the journal with current EiC, Pär Ågerfalk. There is a Managing Editor plus a team of Senior Editors in place to support the EiCs. Any appointed EiC will be required to become a member of the Society, if they are not already. An honorarium is paid to the EiC.

The appointment is for an initial term of five years, potentially renewable for a second period, and there are plans for a transitional period. It is important to be able to meet the expectations of authors and to continue to meet review times and develop services for the authors. The number of submissions is over 400 new articles annually, with articles submitted and managed through ScholarOne.

EJIS provides a distinctive European perspective on the theory and practice of information systems. The EiC should be well acquainted with EJIS and able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the journal's aims and practice. The EiC should also have constructive ideas on its future development to meet the challenges and needs of the subject and the society.

Please send your CV with a covering letter to Gavin Blackett, Secretary & General Manager at gavin.blackett at theorsociety.com. The deadline for expressions of interest is 31 October 2019.
