University College Cork invites applications for an experienced Senior Research Fellow to lead a new high impact four-year research project in the area of financial services technology. This role is an exceptional opportunity for you to be part of a cutting edge and innovative research group, incorporating academic and industry experts, focused on providing cutting edge solutions in partnership with a world leading FinTech firm, and publishing in world leading scientific journals.

The Senior Research Fellow will be working with four internationally renowned Professors from Cork University Business School and the Boole Centre for Research in Informatics (Professor Joe Feller, Professor Philip O’Reilly, Professor John Morrison and Professor Mark Hutchinson) and managing a team of twelve researchers, under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Professor Philip O’Reilly.

The Senior Research Fellow will have substantial experience in research and project management, an excellent record of high quality peer reviewed publications, and a track record in obtaining research funding, including larger funds for research teams and infrastructure. Knowledge transfer and commercialisation experience is required.

The Senior Research Fellow may have some teaching and mentoring duties. The Senior Research Fellow will be evaluated through a systematic and continuous professional development and appraisal system.

Appointment may be made on the Senior Research Fellow Salary Scale: €66,559 - €71,429. Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
