We are glad to announce *ATE_ABSITA*: Aspect Term Extraction and
Aspect-based Sentiment Analysis Task *@EVALITA 2020 *is ready to wait
for your contribution.
Sentiment Analysis (also known as Opinion Mining) is the task of
identifying what the user thinks about a particular topic.
In particular, it often takes the form of an annotation task with the
purpose of annotating a portion of text with a positive, negative, or
neutral label.
Aspect-based Sentiment Analysis (ABSA) is an evolution of Sentiment
Analysis that aims at capturing the aspect-level opinions expressed in
natural language texts.

As an evolution of the ABSITA Task, proposed at EVALITA 2018, we propose
a new edition of it. It aims to resolve three subtasks:
1) *Aspect Term Extraction (ATE)*: It consists of identifying an
"aspect" in an Italian product review without knowing a priori the list
of possible aspects;
2) *Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis (ABSA)*: In this task, the polarity
of each expressed aspect is recognized, e.g., a positive category.
3) *Sentiment Analysis (SA)*: is the task of identifying what the user
thinks about the whole review.

The participants may choose to submit each of the three tasks independently.
Please note that for participating in the second task (ABSA), the output
of the first one (ATE) is essential for proposing a solution for it.
