Dear Colleagues,

Hello from my first week at Virginia Tech! Hope you had a relaxing break and
are energized for the semester/year. Hope that this year will be better than
the last one-and we have a return to the old normal before its end!

The research rankings website, updated to include 2020 data, thanks to the
exceptional efforts of Dr. Ruba Aljafari (UPitt) and Dr. Frank Chan (ESSEC),
is now available at aisreserchrankings.org. Please note three important
things regarding corrections, appropriate citation/credit, and
registration/renewal:

1. Please send correction requests to rankings at myvisionresearch.com
<mailto:rankings at myvisionresearch.com%3cmailto:rankings at myvisionresearch.com
%3cmailto:rankings at myvisionresearch.com%3cmailto:rankings at myvisionresearch.c
om> (and not to me) with complete information to help us effect the
correction.

2. We are delighted to see that a number of scholars and departments are
using the rankings results from this site. However, we have seen that more
than a few scholars/departments are using author and/or university ranking
results from this site without an appropriate citation to the source. Citing
<http://aisresearchrankings.org/> aisresearchrankings.org is required per
the end-user license agreement (EULA) and is consistent with professional
norms. Specifically, the EULA states: YOU MUST CITE THE SOURCE OF THE
RANKINGS APPROPRIATELY, AS NOTED IN THE "FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS" OF THE
SOFTWARE SERVICE. It should be noted that citing the Senior Scholars' basket
of journals [alone] is not an appropriate citation because these rankings
are based on the journal set but represent a significant independent effort.
We also hope those who have used these results from past years will
similarly include the appropriate citation to aisresearchrankings.org. This
is also important to help us track the value of the site using online
metrics. Thank you.

3. You can use your previous user ID and password but will need to renew the
subscription (free) to access the latest rankings.

Thank you and best wishes.
