About the Department



The Department of Business Management, Poole College of Management, at NC
State University invites applications for a tenure track assistant
professor position in Marketing, starting Fall 2022, with a focus in
Marketing Analytics.



The Business Management department is highly interdisciplinary, housing
faculty with teaching and research programs in Marketing, Analytics/IT,
Supply Chain Management, and Finance. Current marketing faculty in the
department have active research programs related to quantitative marketing,
innovation strategy, and consumer behavior, among others. Academic courses
are offered at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Marketing
area is heavily involved in the new Business Analytics Initiative program,

Essential Job Duties



The successful candidate will be expected to teach marketing courses at the
graduate (MBA) and undergraduate level. We offer courses both online and in
person, both at our Main Campus location and at our Research Triangle Park
Location. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active
research agenda in marketing, commensurate with our status as a Research 1
university.



The university, college, and department are placing increased emphasis on
analytics, and a new Master’s degree program in Marketing Analytics has
been launched (https://ma.poole.ncsu.edu/).  Candidates should have
research and teaching interests related to marketing analytics.

Minimum Education and Experience



Candidates must currently hold a Ph.D., or have completed requirements for
the degree by Fall of 2022, in marketing or a closely related field. We
welcome applications from experienced Assistant Professors.



Other Required Qualifications



Qualified candidates should possess strong records in research, teaching,
and service, or have the potential to achieve the same. For consideration,
candidates should demonstrate strong scholarly research capabilities
consistent with a Research 1 university, and an ability to teach at
undergraduate and graduate levels.



Preferred Experience, Credentials, Qualifications, Certifications



Preference will be given to candidates with experience or research
interests in areas compatible with a focus on Marketing Analytics.
Expertise in quantitative methods is preferred.
