The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics in the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University invites applications for two positions: one assistant professor tenure-track position and an open rank tenure-track/tenured position. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in areas such as analytical modeling, data mining, data visualization, advanced statistical methods and/or database management, but candidates with other expertise in information systems will be considered. Strong candidates will have proficiency in relevant programming languages (R, Python), databases and database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop), business intelligence platforms, and analytic software. Candidates should be pursuing the publication of high-quality research relevant to information systems and business analytics. Candidates for hire as associate professor or professor must have a record of quality teaching and high-quality scholarship equivalent to our standards for tenure and promotion at Baylor University. The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics seeks to enhance the school's standing and reputation with ambitious researchers who have initiated and/or sustained a record of publications in high quality journals. Candidates should also be devoted to excellence in teaching with an interest in using technology in the classroom. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Candidates should possess, or expect to earn before beginning their appointment, a doctorate in Information Systems or a closely related field. While prior industry experience in business analytics is not mandatory, it is preferable. Along with these academic and professional credentials, applicants should have the ability to collaborate effectively with other faculty in a dynamic team-oriented educational environment. Finally, candidates should demonstrate a record of high-quality research or research promise.
